Startup_Square_Moneyview

Bengaluru-based fintech unicorn Moneyview has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch a ₹1,500 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO). Through this IPO, the company plans to expand its digital lending platform and strengthen financial services for underserved borrowers across India.

The proposed public issue will include a fresh issue of equity shares along with an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to 13.6 crore shares. Promoter Puneet Agarwal and early investors such as Accel, Ribbit Capital, and Apis Partners will sell part of their holdings in the OFS.

Additionally, the fintech company may raise around ₹300 crore through a pre-IPO placement. If this happens, the size of the fresh issue may reduce accordingly.

How Moneyview Plans to Use the IPO Funds

Moneyview plans to deploy the IPO funds across several strategic growth initiatives.

First, the company will allocate ₹650 crore for loan disbursals under Default Loss Guarantee (DLG) arrangements. This step will help the company expand its digital lending operations and increase access to credit.

Moreover, Moneyview will invest ₹450 crore in its NBFC subsidiary, Whizdm Finance. This investment will strengthen the subsidiary’s capital base and support the expansion of its lending portfolio.

Finally, the remaining funds will support technology development, operational growth, and general corporate purposes.

Investment Banks Managing the IPO

Several leading financial institutions are managing the IPO process.

The merchant bankers for the issue include:

  • Axis Capital

  • IIFL Capital Services

  • BofA Securities India

  • Kotak Mahindra Capital

Meanwhile, MUFG Intime India will serve as the registrar for the public offering.

About Moneyview: A Fast-Growing Digital Lending Platform

Founded in 2014 by IIT alumni Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal, Moneyview has built one of India’s rapidly growing fintech platforms.

The company focuses mainly on new-to-credit customers in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, where traditional financial services remain limited.

Today, the platform serves more than 125 million users and offers several financial products, including:

  • Instant personal loans

  • Credit score tracking

  • Insurance products

  • Digital lending services

Furthermore, the company collaborates with over 40 financial institutions to deliver these services efficiently.

Strong Financial Growth Ahead of IPO

Moneyview has reported strong financial performance ahead of its public listing.

For FY25, the company recorded operating revenue of ₹2,379 crore and a net profit of ₹240 crore.

Similarly, during the first nine months of FY26, the company generated ₹2,409 crore in revenue and ₹245 crore in profit. These numbers indicate steady growth in India’s digital lending sector.

Rising Momentum in India’s Fintech IPO Market

Moneyview’s IPO filing highlights the growing momentum in India’s fintech IPO ecosystem.

As digital adoption increases and financial inclusion expands, fintech companies are turning to public markets to raise capital. They aim to:

  • Scale lending operations

  • Invest in AI-driven financial technologies

  • Expand credit access to underserved customers

Therefore, Moneyview plans to use its IPO to accelerate a technology-driven, capital-efficient lending strategy.

Conclusion

Moneyview’s ₹1,500 crore IPO filing marks an important step in the company’s growth journey. With a strong user base, consistent financial growth, and a focus on underserved borrowers, the fintech startup aims to strengthen its position in India’s rapidly evolving digital lending market.

If the IPO receives strong investor interest, Moneyview could emerge as one of the next major fintech companies to enter India’s public markets.
